20 October Poetry Prompts
In my last post, I talked about my fall writing goals and the key areas I aim to improve: my consistency, my writing skills, and completing drafts. I thought this would be a cool and motivating way to focus on my goals while also having fun with my craft. So, I have curated a list of 20 poetry prompts to get my creative juices flowing.
My Writing Goals This Fall
My journey as a writer has its ups and downs. When I was a little girl, I had an active imagination and was drawn to books—I read all the time. You could not see me without a book in my hand. I loved the idea of being in fantastical worlds, so much so that I started creating my own, whether in my head, with my toys, or through pen and paper. I wrote silly little stories in elementary school and wish I still had them to reminisce on my innocent creations.

My Siren Song

Where shadows dance and secrets hide
This song has dwelt within my heart
Waiting for the one who’d play their part
And now I rise from the deep
For the soul that is mine to keep
